Snow is very very calming for me. It's akin to meditating I think. It's a beautiful sight, even in the middle of the most metropolitan and urban cities. Sometimes, I wish it snowed every day.
So, academia defines my every cell at the moment: specifically chemistry and mathematics. However, sometimes I think that I've fallen into the pit that most second generation [asian] Americans fall into. I've made myself succeed at school so I could live up to my parents standards, as well as escape the blue collar careers they were trapped into by the lack of an education.
Sometimes, I want to do the unexpected and QUIT school and just work. Work. Live. Enjoy life. I would like to travel. I'd like to go to the home country of my parents and immerse myself in the culture that I experienced second hand.
