Beauty is a curse for someone who doesn't place it high amongst their priorities. I am aware of my own beauty only through the overwhelming comments of others, men and women combined. I can note distantly that my features might be aesthetically pleasing to others but can not find pleasure in it personally.
Perhaps because I don't take my looks as a point of pride, it hurts all the more that I am judged so often by them.
